Pelican on a cloudy day

During the winter months we see a number of white pelicans in the lakes around Baton Rouge - especially around campus and near our house. I went out and took a few pictures of a pelican this past January. The pictures were a little dim because I forgot to adjust my ISO setting from a previous excursion, but I think that this one is okay. I like taking pictures of birds, but I need to read up on how to do it better, because I am never very satisfied with the results of my bird photography.
