Lily of the Nile?

Okay, I am a biologist, but botany is not my thing. I have a flower growing in my front yard, but I don't know what kind of plant it is. I asked a few people and I think that it might be a lily of the Nile or Spanish allium, but I am not sure. That didn't stop me from taking a few shots of it and then playing with my new HDR program...
