Tuckered Turtle Turns in

Posted by Matthew (Baton Rouge, United States) on 31 July 2007 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

As I mentioned previously, Emily and I spent the last two days of our honeymoon in Honaunau National Historic Park. This place was originally a Hawai'ian "Place of refuge". Google it. A really cool thing about this park were the green sea turtles. The one pictured here was taking a rest after what I guess was a long day of eating algae in the surf (that is what the other ones were doing). I didn't want to disturb the turtle, so I put on my long lens, got on my belly, and shot away...
